Seems like the 2nd half of this year is not the best one for me. After being relatively injury free during my Bjj/mma career, I have suffered 2 rather serious ones now. First in Iceland I injured my left knee, a partial MCL tear, which healed up pretty good on its own. And now, secondly, I injured my left ankle while giving a seminar in Sweden on 14th October.
I was on the receiving end of a scissor takedown while wrestling. With some seriously bad luck it ended dislocating my left ankle, tearing ligaments in it and fracturing a bone. I was taken to hospital immediately, my ankle was first pulled back to its normal position and then I went into surgery. Bone was screwed back together with metal plating and ligaments were repaired.
Despite sounding something really nasty, which it actually was/is, it will all heal up back to normal. Im wearing cast for 6 weeks (until the end of November) , then starting leg rehab and returning to the mats in 8-12 weeks time, so around Christmas/ New Year.
Fibula, the small leg bone was fractured and you can see all sorts of ligaments in the joint area.
Well, that’s that :)

As you might be wondering why on earth haven’t I already posted the Passes video … well, I shot the video 2 weeks ago, but as I wanted to transfer it to the computer the camera sort of broke down. No matter what I try to do with now, record or play, it keeps stopping after 1-2 seconds and prompts “Push the reset switch”. I do it but everything remains the same. I haven’t had any luck in fixing it and I don’t have an option to get a new camera at this point. So lets see how this situation eventually works out, but until that I’m unable to continue blogging.
But on another news, there’s possibly another MMA fight coming for me in 3 weeks. On 22th October we have another local event here and I’m on the roster, though, opponent is yet to be determined.
